What we collect

When you submit a URL to IsFake, we log anonymized scan metadata: the URL, the content types detected, the AI-detection score, and the timestamp. This data helps us improve our detection models. If you join the waitlist for the IsFake browser extension, we store your email address so we can notify you at launch.

What we don't collect

We do not store the actual content located at the URLs you scan. We do not collect names, IP-linked identities, or browsing history beyond what is described above.

Cookies and analytics

IsFake uses minimal first-party analytics to understand traffic patterns, and may display non-intrusive third-party advertising to keep the tool free.

Third-party services

We rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, and advertising. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing data they receive.
